Who invented YouTube
YouTube was invented by Steve Chen, Chad Hurley and Jawed Karim out of a garage in Menlo Park. YouTube was invented in 2005 and is to date the most popular video website in the world. YouTube is the most popular video sharing sites on the Internet and YouTube contains over 83.4 million videos. YouTube allows users to watch videos posted by persons worldwide, and to upload videos of their own. If you will ask me who invented YouTube i would answer three Paypal employees as i mention them in the beginning of the article. YouTube was invented by three former PayPal employees in February 2005. The three co-founders are Chad Hurley, Steve Chen and Jawed Karim. Chen and Karim had actually attended the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign together, both studying computer science. It took the three inventors six months to build the site. According to the official story about the beginning of YouTube, Chen and Hurley came up with the idea in the spring of 2005 after they couldn’t figure out a good way to share videos of a dinner party held by Chen. When questioned about this story, Karim said that he never attended such a dinner party, and he doubts that it every really took place. Later, while not coming right out and saying so, hinted that the dinner party story may have emerged just for the sake of having a story in which others could relate.
